Drone Gallery:
the archive that came back.

The challenge

A 2015–2017 drone video site had spent a decade collecting two things: real content (195 entries, 160 videos, 194 stills) and spam — thirty-eight injected gambling posts and a broken platform concept. The archive was worth keeping; everything around it was not.

The approach

We exported the register in full, deleted the spam at the source after backing up the database, and redesigned the site as what it actually is: a numbered register of flight. A gallery-led home, three collections, and a dense registry page carry 195 entries with their original videos and stills.

The outcome

Two hundred pages live on Cloudflare Pages the same day the design was approved. Legacy URLs resolve exactly. The registry, collections, and cost of running it all fit on one sheet of infrastructure.

Live site: dronegallery.net. Rollback path and backup receipts were retained through the cutover window.
